Why
do I need date-of-creation proof for my written work?
When marketing your projects (ie;
pitching, sharing, submitting your material to creative or production
entities) you need third-party proof that your original and
unique script or concept was in fact created by you at a certain
date and time previous to any entity having reviewed your project.
This gives you leverage in a court of law, or with any arbitration
panel should there be evidence and a case of any production
company or creative entity having "lifted" your idea
after soliciting your project for review and consideration.

How
will proof of creation be provided for my written work?
Upon archival of your material
at CreatorsVault.com, you will receive instant electronic
notification of it's receipt, and will be assigned a "CV
Number" that you may place in view on your written material
notifying all parties that your work is in time-stamped archive
at CreatorsVault.com . Your
work will be stored in electronic format in a highly secured
database/server at a remote site. Please see faq #8 for more
details.

How
do I show this protection when marketing my written material?
In your registration receipt you
will receive an assigned Creators Vault Number, or, "CV
Number" (ex: CV3456). You should copy and paste your CV
Number on the title page of your written material for submission
to any potential buyer or outside entity reviewing the material.

Will
I have access to my written work for editing or revising?
No. By releasing your work for
editing or revising, it compromises the integrity of our service
and negates the admissibility of your work as a piece of evidence
in any legal dispute or arbitration process needing to establish
the most likely date of creation of your work. Only upon formal
written request by your legal representative, arbitration panel,
or court order will the material be released in copy from our
database with original registration record.

When will The Creators Vault provide evidence of written material
submitted for my protection? Only
upon formal written request by your legal representative, arbitration
panel, or court order will the material be released in copy
from our database with original registration record.

How
can I request a copy of my submitted material and CV Number?
We will only release your title
and CV Number for your own reference. We will not release any
copy of your written material submitted unless direct request
is made by arbitration panel, court order, or legal representative
providing proof of representation of you, the Author. All requests
may be made to
Info@CreatorsVault.com
.

What
does the Writers Guild of America Registry provide that this
service does not? The
WGA is the governing union for professional writers, and provides
no benefits or services to non-union writers registering their
work for proof of creation protection. CreatorsVault.com
provides certification and archival of your work under similar protective guidelines as the WGA.

Where
is my written material held? In
the CreatorsVault.com database. Our database is supported
by secure servers at Greenwood Village, Colorado's Ventures
Online Datacenter. Details of the datacenter are as follows:
24/7 On-site staff, Dual Redundant
Firewalls, Raised Floors, Fire Suppression and Early Warning
System, Video Surveillance, Card Key Access, and Proactive
Internal Network Monitoring on all equipment.

What
additional measures of protection can you suggest during the
marketing of my written work? The
first caution is regarding blind, mass-mailed, or unsolicited
submissions to production companies, independent producers,
publishers or agents. Although infringement of intellectual
properties is rare, sending out unsolicited submissions brings
unnecessary risk of exposure that the recipient has no responsibility
or obligation to. Using a lawyer to make direct submissions
to industry executives is the safest measure, along with other
methods such as web-based scouting services like
The Television Writers Vault
and
Screen Writers Vault which
offer monitored and recorded reviews of material by carefully
screened executives from those industries.
